#79T Dave Palmer

IMPACT FACTOR 2/10: Palmer came to and left Philly as a free agent, pitching one below-average season with them. I'm pretty sure he's the guy who tripped badly on third base for them--anybody remember?

Dave Palmer! My endearing memory of Palmer is from this game against the Mets in 1986:

The only "brawl" game I ever attended. Good times.

Yes, it was Palmer who tripped over third base at the Vet. I think the Phils were playing the Cubs that night

Don't remember a whole lot else about Palmer as a Phillie, though I do recall him hitting a couple home runs that year. I was only eight years old at the time, so my memory is somewhat fuzzy, but I believe he and Luis Aguayo went back-to-back in one game
