#43T Alfredo Griffin

IMPACT FACTOR 2/10: Griffin, a bad offensive player, had some of his worst offensive seasons among his 4 years with the Dodgers. They gave up Bob Welch and Matt Young to get Griffin and Orosco, who himself was terrible in the 1988 post-season. At least he's in the necklace club.

Alfredo is the player who started me collecting when I pulled his 1983 Topps card in my very first pack.

Alfredo was right up there when it came to lousy offensive players on the '88 Dodgers. How they won the title, to me as a Dodger fan, is one of life's great mysteries.
