Via Cardboard Junkie comes this link to 1988 Score. Given that it's from the same year as 88 Topps, I am forced to love it.

We're celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of the great classic baseball card sets, 1988 Topps. We're going through all 792 cards one by one, posting bits about what makes the card awesome and cool stats about the player or team featured on the card. We're also posting the 1988 Topps Traded set!

I loved the '88 Score set. It was groundbreaking with its emphasis on the photo, and getting action photos. Unfortunately, what happened was that it was taken 20 steps too far and it was the precursor of today's premium cards, glossy cardstock, and a lot of the other things that disappoint me about the hobby.
Still, the photography in this set is really neat.
Hey, glad you like it. This 88 Topps blog was one of my inspirations for doing this.
