#385 Carlton Fisk
Why this card is awesome: Because of all those stats on the back of the card, one really stick out as odd: 9 triples in 1972. For a catcher, and for a big, huge dude like Fisk. Geez.
Cool stat: Fisk's 1972 season is only the second most recent one for a catcher with at least 9 triples. Click through to see who did it more recently.

Finally we come to the Fisk card.
Classic image. Classic card.
I remember when he broke in with the Sox. He was a good all-around player and this was before his knee injury. Believe it or not, the Sox were hitting him 7th and 8th much of 1972. I'm playing that season on Strat-O-Matic, and I'm hitting him 4th or 5th.
This card is one of my favorites in the set.
It looks like he's coming out of the card. Great shot.
