Why this card is awesome: Because of the bonus shot of the third baseman, whom I'm guessing is Ken Caminiti.
Cool stat: I wonder why Meads' career was so short. In 1988, he pitched a little bit above league average, plus he was a lefty. These days, if he pitched like that as a lefty, he could have a job on almost any team in MLB. He gave up 2 HR to one guy: Will

Meads was given his first big league start in '88. He combined with Larry Anderson, Juan Agosto, and Dave Smith to pitch a 3 hit shutout against the Cardinals. I'm not sure what happened to the guy. It seems that he was on the rise and then just called it quits.
It looks like you hold a grudge against Will Clark, huh?
Maybe Meads didn't make it because instead of wearing short-sleeved-shirts, he decided to simply bunch up his long sleeves right around his elbow.
I love Clark's on-field accomplishments. The guy's personality and behavior off the field just really piss me off.
Favorite Meads moment was giving up back to back homeruns to end a game in 1987 to you guessed it Will cLark and Candy Maldonado!
That was this game. Ouch.
I remember it because as a Giants fan it was the first time they were ever good (about to win the west) in my life and all their games weren't on tv like now, so the radio was my friend back then.
Dave Meads, a relitive of mine played winter ball after the 88 season and hurt his arm thats why he didn't come back for the 89 season. He's still a great person and great dad to his kids
Thanks for the info Tucker!
