#63T Scotti Madison

This is the very first card I've posted on this blog of a player I've never heard of before. How weird. Madison's real name is Charles Scott Madison. How he got the nickname of "Scotti" with an "i" is beyond me.

IMPACT FACTOR 1/10: Madison did virtually nothing in the majors for anybody.

Wow, I have never heard of him either. Usually, I am an expert on these such guys from the 70's and 80's. How did I miss Scotti?

Madison was one of a cycle of big-time performers at Omaha who would amount to nothing or less at the major league level.

Luis de los Santos, Luis Encarnacion, Russ Morman, Harvey Pulliam, Jeff Schulz, Chito Martinez...all players I remember a ton from the Omaha Royals that lasted about an hour in the majors. The MOST successful after the David Cone/Scotti Madison era might have been Bob Hamelin or Terry Shumpert.
