Why this card is awesome: Because there are more Expos in the background, even against an AL team! Spring training, obviously.
Cool stat: In 1988, Pasqua had one of just 4 seasons ever with 20 HR and 100 K's, but no more than 50 RBI.

We're celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of the great classic baseball card sets, 1988 Topps. We're going through all 792 cards one by one, posting bits about what makes the card awesome and cool stats about the player or team featured on the card. We're also posting the 1988 Topps Traded set!

Wow, could also be the low batting average guys with 20 HRs. Man, Ruben Rivera was just awful!
Lot of Expos in the background must mean the photographer liked to hang out at their park. They trained at West Palm Beach in that day, which is a nice place to be.
